"Prepare to be amazed. 'Bassics' was recorded in a single day. All of the tracks are live first takes and in the originally recorded sequence.

The guy came in and played the string bass, sang and played hi-hat simultaneously. It was slam, bam, thank you Leivam. I've never seen nor heard anything like it."

This collection sets a new standard.

My hope is that it will serve as an inspiration for bass players everywhere.

Mr. Greenjeans
(circa 1964)

There is a first time for everything. It was done in the early 1960's by Mr. Greenjeans on Captain Kangaroo, a live TV show for children. He laid an upright string bass across his lap like a guitar and sang silly songs. Even though I don't remember the songs, except my favorite ('I Love Ping-Pong Balls'), I never forgot the experience. Thanks Mr. Greenjeans, whomever and wherever you are.

Guitar Classics

- COMING SOON!

OK, there's a last time for everything too. It HAS been done. Ho hum. Another guy with a guitar can never be more than, well, just another guy with a guitar. (sigh)

DISCLAIMER: I have discovered that there is another musician based in Arizona using the stage name 'Les Izmore' (different spelling). Obviously a very enlightened person. I am pointing this out in the interest of avoiding mistaken identity.
